Its time. My tomato plants are ripening, especially the Costeluto Florentinos and the two kinds of Romas. My Royal Hillbilly tomatoes are huge, I can’t wait to sample those. My Roma plants are so laden with green and ripening fruit that they are leaning and breaking their stakes. I’m excited. Take a look.

Here’s one of the best ways to enjoy fresh, vine ripened tomatoes. Sliced, with basil (also from the garden), a couple of teaspoons of olive oil, salt, fresh cracked pepper, and chill for an hour in the fridge. Delightful, and unlike any tomato from the grocery store.
