Samuel has pulled our first two radishes, Pink Beauties, from the radish patch. Since radishes are always the starter of the harvest, they are a popular veggie for kids. I’ve got two varieties growing but this one is fastest. Our other variety. White Hailstone, has huge, lush greens, and I’m looking forward to trying this one. I plant to have some black varieties in the fall.

This variety is a normall more spherical, I think the first year soil has a bit to do with misshapen roots. Long radishes are better for slicing, though.
