I’m planting some Rue for the various uses that this interesting and historic herb can deliver. After I get this stuff going from seed, I’ll put it in a hot and dry area that I can’t really do much else with, since all reports say this stuff is hard to get rid of. Here’s a good thread on Gardenweb that gives a lot of uses for Rue. I’ll update as I experiment with this historic herb. I promise I won’t tithe with it.
I’ll be posting some reviews of various Basil varieties I have growing this year. So far I am very impressed with the Lemon Basil, its lusciously good and makes your eyes roll back in your head. I’ve also got Thai Basil, the old standby Genovese, Cinnamon and Lime Basil doing quite well. More on Basil later.
